Hi, Iβm Joyce Shin.
Iβm a speaker, operator, advisor, and founder.
I work with leaders to build the things that we often donβt prioritizeβ the human layer. The layer that teams and organizations are actually built on. The part culture, trust, and resilience run on.
Most people strategies get dealt with too late, only once the problem is painful enough to force it. The layoffs, the burnout, the quiet disengagement, the top performer who checked out months before the number showed it.
There's a layer underneath all of it that most leaders never build for. It's the thing I work on.
My frameworks come out of neuroscience (a B.S. in Neuroscience from Emory, an MBA from Duke) and years operating inside teams at companies like Dropbox and Instacart.
The real starting point? Itβs personal. From my actual life. I rebuilt my life, cognitively and physically, after a brain injury at 18.
A first-hand account that very few people have had. That's where a lot of my thinking about resilience, and what actually matters, began.
Thereβs a lot to the story. A lot Iβve learned from the journey. And itβs way too much to fit on a website.
So, letβs start a conversation to explore how we can collaborate instead.
